The courtesy visit was an occasion to renew ties with MBRSC regarding student exchange and cooperation in satellite design systems, especially at the 6U and 12U levels. HE Eng. Salem Humaid Al-Marri, the MBRSC Director General, met the UoS/SAASST along with Eng. Amer Mohammad Al Sayegh Al Ghafri, the Senior Director of the Space Engineering Department. Ms. Mariam Al-Shamsi, the MBRSC Director for the Space Science Department, also attended the meeting.

The UoS/SAASST team was given a tour of the MBRSC facilities,  especially the satellite control rooms, the electrical and mechanical shops, and the large cleanroom where the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) satellite is under preparation. MBZ is an Earth observational satellite with a ground sampling resolution of 25 cm.
